Chances are you’ve already come across that “We Still Coming” wedding photo that’s been going around for the past couple of weeks, but the story behind it isn’t exactly as it seems. The short version of the real story can be seen in 7262’s “Anthem” video above.
Here’s what happened:
Though the photo itself is legit, that it has anything to do with the accompanying text message was a complete fabrication, reports F Stoppers. Roger and Kirsten are not the names of the bride and groom pictured. And in fact, it was the wedding guests that crashed the set of a music video, rather than the problematic premise prevously at play, which found an uninvited fella and his “boys” horning in on someone else’s day of days.
Photographer Adam Sparkes happened upon the group of men pictured above while shooting the bridal party outside the remains of Michigan Central Station. “They had a tricked out Monte Carlo and a Cutlass and were in full music-video mode,” he said. “I asked the groom if he wanted to be famous, and jokingly we yelled, ‘Hey we’re going to be in your video!’ The guys were all laughing and told us to come on over, so we did.”
The wedding features prominently in the resulting clip for 7262’s “Anthem.” The track includes some run-of-the-mill bars, but the clip is pretty endearing. Watch that above, and enjoy it as yet another reminder not to take every funny thing on the internet at face value.
